How to Export a GEDCOM File from MyHeritage

Download your family tree from MyHeritage as a GEDCOM file and create a beautiful, interactive website to share with your whole family.

Exporting from MyHeritage: Step by step

  1. Log in to MyHeritage.com and go to your family tree.
  2. Click on "Family Tree" in the top navigation bar.
  3. Select "Manage trees" from the dropdown.
  4. Find your tree and click "Actions" โ†’ "Export to GEDCOM".
  5. MyHeritage will prepare the file. Click "Download GEDCOM" when ready.
Tip:MyHeritage allows GEDCOM export even on the free plan. You don't need a paid subscription to download your tree data.
